Neurospinal Optimization

vs. Conventional Chiropractic

Conventional Chiropractic

Conventional Chiropractors are great at decreasing muscle spasms, increasing range of motion and temporarily reducing pain.  This is how most chiropractors practice and they do a fantastic job. However, this type of treatment is considered symptom relief/management, or as we call it "Band-Aid® care".

Neurospinal Optimization

At Apex Chiropractic we focus on Neurospinal Optimization. As we all know, our body's functions are controlled by the nervous system, and the nervous system is protected by the bony segments of the spine.  If a bone in the spine moves out of place (Neurospinal Dysfunction) it may cause interference in the nervous system as well as serve as a starting point for degeneration and arthritis within the spine.  Through a comprehensive Neurospinal examination we locate dysfunction within the spine and address it with specific Corrective Adjustments.

Get Back To Normal

Rather than focus on "Band-Aid® care", at Apex Chiropractic we aim to help your spine regain a normal structure.

Neurospinal Optimization is not for everyone. If you are looking for a long term solution rather than "Band-Aid® care" or short term symptom relief, our office may be for you. Our extensive Neurospinal examination procedures will help us get a better picture of IF we can help you, HOW LONG it may take, and WHAT we can do to improve your overall health.  The results that we achieve in our office are ones that you can not only FEEL, but SEE through our reexamination procedures.

Once your structure is back to normal, we strive to give you the tools to maintain your progress so your secondary conditions do not return.

What Is Neurospinal Dysfunction

When it comes to structure, no one is absolutely perfect.  But, like all other aspects of our health there is a normal range.  If I were to ask you what a normal blood pressure is you might say 120/80.  Most people don't know

exactly what that means, but they understand that

value is "normal".  There are many other "normal"

values in healthcare.  For example,  blood sugar, body

mass and heart rate all have healthy ranges.  That

being said, there will always be variations based on

ones age or health situation.

At Apex Chiropractic we are looking for a multi-

dimensional shift of the spine away from normal.

If the spine is shifted in one area, another area will

compensate and therefore cause the entire spine to

move out of proper alignment.  These shifts can cause

muscles to spasm, ligaments to deform and most

importantly, they can influence the nervous system.  In short, the communication system

from your brain to the rest of the body can be

interfered with.

The primary focus of Apex Chiropractic is to locate

and correct Neurospinal Dysfunction though thorough

structural evaluation and specific corrective adjustments.

What are Secondary Conditions?

Secondary Conditions, or what most people call "symptoms" are your body's warning system. They are indicators of a more serious underlying condition.  Some of the Secondary Conditions that arise from a Neuro-Spinal Dysfunction include:

  • Neck & Back Pain

  • Sciatica & Hip Pain

  • Numbness & Tingling

  • Muscular Spasm & Tension

  • Headaches (Including Migraine)

  • Pinched Nerve (N.I.S.)

  • Herniated Disc

  • Canal Stenosis

  • Rotator Cuff & Shoulder Pain

  • Degenerative Disc Disease

  • Degenerative Joint Disease

  • Decreased Range of Motion

  • Poor Posture

  • Muscular Imbalance

  • Dizziness/Vertigo

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

What To Expect During An Exam

After completing your consultation with the doctor, you will be invited to proceed with our Neurospinal examination. The examination may also be scheduled for a later time if you so choose. As always, the decision is yours and there will never be any gimmicks or high pressure sales pitches. The Neurospinal examination is comprehensive, which means you should safely plan on allotting no less than 45 minutes of your time. This is a thorough, time intensive examination process completed by a doctor, not a quick assessment by an assistant. Dr. Aaron or Dr. Virginia will complete each aspect of the examination to determine the nature of your Neuro-Spinal Disfunction. The exam will include:

What to expect in our Examination:

  • Complete Autonomic Activity Assessment

  • Nerve Scan

  • Structural Radiographs

  • 3D Structural Analysis

  • Orthopedic/Neurological testing as needed.

The Structural examination is not only designed to detect Neuro-Spinal Dysfunction, but allows for a better understanding of “normal" and a complete understanding of the underlying cause of your condition. After your examination, you will be scheduled for a conference where we will explain our findings, how we can help you and how things work if you should decide to start care with our practice.

During the Nervous System Scan the back must be exposed.  We will provide a rear-opening gown to be utilized at that time.

How Do I Get Started

If you would like to schedule a consultation with one of our doctors, please call (701) 852-5290 or email apexchirond@gmail.com to schedule a consultation. Remember, this is a conversation, not a commitment to an examination or care. You'll be given the opportunity to sit down with a doctor so they can learn more about your condition. Additionally, they will explain all of the details about the office. You will be given the opportunity to undergo a complete Neuro-Spinal Chiropractic Examination should you decide that our process makes sense. The doctor will review all of the details of your case, explain the findings, and cover your options for care.

In order to save you time, the intake forms you will need to fill out are provided in the below link.  If you choose to do them in the office, that is fine as well.  Please allow 20 minutes before the consultation for paperwork.
